Trooper and Lockette over Stumblebum and Fields. Easy call. Fields seems to have a good rep, maybe keep him on in a non-coaching position in player recruitment.
 
I think Trooper would have the same problem as Coley had trying to recruit here...no bags no players.

Coley used to eat our lunch when he was recruiting against us but once he came here this supposed all world recruiter became very average.I think Trooper would fall prey to the same problem not to mention his propensity for having the NCAA following him around.

It’s easy to recruit when you can offer kids the world to cone to your school.

Oh I think there will lots of creative business opportunities for players now that the rules have changed. That wasn't (legally) possible before
 
Look, I was one of the biggest Trooper Taylor BASHERS out there, I knew exactly how he did business, and I called him a Cheatin' Coach. But clearly he has decided to leave that life behind.

As to the question of whether he has lost all of his powers without the bags, I doubt that. Yes, when Trooper was fighting with other SEC powers, a bag could seal the deal, but he is also a guy that is well-liked and well-respected by HS coaches and recruits.

And think about it this way...even without bags, could Trooper be any WORSE than some of the recruiters we currently have on staff?
 
Bags are an overrated excuse. We need guys who can recruit. You think, all bags aside, Taylor loses to Patke heads up?
