TRICK PLAYS

I honestly don't think we need any. When I break down the opponent. First i respect them and their talent. They played 3 away schedule games. None of their biggest schedule wins were really impressive to me. They lost to NIU. They got better as they learned to lean into Leonard being a designed running QB. Their draw with IU, Beckless UGA and a 1 man O in PSU was as easy a playoff draw as could be. They stepped up and won all those so they are a good team. A 4 snaps (blowout) QB in a extremely hostile environment against this D that in camp, played man well, played zone well, communicated well, set edges and played the perimeters well. Again, it has to be done in this game. Study Denbrock's D at Arkansas and Texas, well. I like our odds without trick plays. New DC( study Ash's tape at Texas, Arkansas and ND the last 4 years), I think we will throw on them, while mixing it up. I am really fighting my ocnfidence. Expect a close game, respect your opponent and let a easy win come, please. Let the momentum roll.

If you watched the USF vs Boise St game last night is was a trick play from the punt team that ignited USF as they steamrolled Boise St. The best play in football without a doubt is the element of surprise!

Not a trick play, but I believe ND will put in Minchey, a running QB, to confuse our defense, intermittently.
Especially if we are over perusing and or pressuring Carr. I also believe Carr will test out CB’s early..
