Jets are ........

If he stays, he's getting really bad advice. Great money being the number 1 draft pick. Mind boggling lifetime money (so much would have to try to **** it away) when you move off the rookie deal. Can't get that clock started soon enough.

And if he did go down the stay in college road, what NFL powerhouse would he think is going to have the number 1 draft choice next year? Jets again?Giants? Jags?

Question.... Can a player choose to not enter the draft and just sign as a UFA? I never liked the Eli/Rivers swap when Eli basically said no way I play with the Chargers, I only want the giants and had to work out a trade. My opinion was if you enter into the draft and want that guaranteed money the CBA offers, then you go to whatever team picks you, none of this pouting ish.

But what is stopping lawerence from not going into the draft, signing as a UFA to whatever team he wants, who will likely open their pocketbooks for him as if he were some dude off the street? I get there is value in being the number 1 overall pick, but cant tell me there wouldnt be a bidding war for the kid if he were to forego the draft.

He’d be a dummy not to go pro. He might even end up the future franchise QB of the Dallas Cowboys, you don’t pass up opportunities like that.

You can't skip the draft and sign as a fa. Violation of the collective bargaining agreement between the teams and the players union.

Anyone who stays in college when they are going to be the number one pick in the draft isn't making a good decision. And not like he plays baseball to have that leverage.
