Dude. I liked the chain when it came out. It was cool and the team responded well to the gimmick.
And BTW . I'm no super fan. I'm just a life long ride or die Cane fan and I do believe the team is soft. That doesn't change the fact that the sport is as brutal as it gets. That's all I'm saying. Just because you suck doesn't mean the other team is going to take it easy on you. All your *****ing and whining isn't going to change a thing. You keyboard warriors need to get a grip. It's not all about you. It's all about the U.

Actually, it is ALL about the fans. We are the paying customers. Without us, there is no UM football. If they don't fix this soon, many will walk away. Some of us have been following and supporting UM football for nearly 40 years, and we are sick of being sold an inferior product. I have travelled to games, bought merch, been a Hurricane Club member, and have other ties to UM that I will not mention here. I'm down to JUST posting on this site, because UM doesn't deserve my money. If they don't care to put a quality product on the field, I don't care to pay for it.

So yeah, fans are the lifeblood of this program. Without us, they die. They almost shut the program down in the 70s because there was dwindling interest in UM football. You know what brought fans back? A winner for a head coach. Imagine that. The University of Miami made a good hire, UM started winning, and fans came back. And you want to tell me it's not about the fans.

It's all about the U is just a catchy slogan that means NOTHING. Same as the freaking turnover chain and TD rings. Gimmicks, all of it. Go watch some games from the early 80s and you will see what made this team. It wasn't catchy slogans, fake swag, and trinkets. It was a bunch of young men **** bent on beating the guys on the other side. THAT is what fans want.

Were you sick of being part of a Canes fan base back in the late 60's and 70's ? I'm a ride or die fan so I don't get the whole *****ing and moaning behind a keyboard thing. The team stinks right now. This too will pass. Some of Y'all take yourselves way too serious and think you're more important than you really are.
