I have to say maybe there is more going on here. Cant see that it would be that big a deal for Coley and AG to offer him as an ATH, but tell him they will give him a shot at QB to see how he does. Maybe they are afraid of chasing off Kaaya if Treon is running around saying he is committed to playing QB here? The other thing I wonder about, is Ice Harris and the complicated relationship we have with BTW and the Harris clan. Maybe AG feels its too much of a risk, if Treon ends up feeling like he didnt get enough of a fair shake at QB, or we end up with a QB controversy, that the potential trouble with Ice Harris and at BTW is not worth the headache.

Im not sayin Treon is that kind of kid to deliberately start sh*t, but he's a local kid, tight with a LOT of the guys we have coming in. We COULD theoretically end up with one of those QB controversies, which ends up becoming a proxy fight, where all the local kids are feeling like Treon should be the QB, while others dont, and you end up with a divided locker room. Remember the Ryan Collins mess. There was a bit of that with Jacory too when Marve was struggling.

Bingo. I think this is exactly what Golden is worried about. Now that we are starting to get some ballers from BTW again the last thing we need is to get into another ****fest with Ice and yes, it also has the potential to create lockerroom issues between the local kids and the other kids. We don't need anymore Jacory and his boys factions. This has the potential to be an absolute disaster if everyone isn't convinced that the competition went fairly and certain people don't trust "them boys from up north".

I like the way the staff is playing it...they are being honest from the outset and we aren't playing games. Unlike FSU we aren't going to double cross anyone. God forbid we actually get rewarded for doing the right thing with these kids. I'm sure Ice is well aware that he's getting played by Fisher, but he's using it as leverage right now to get a QB offer and it isn't going to happen. Golden needs to stay the course, even if HBK decommits. Because once that QB offer goes out and should that kid not be able to beat out Baby Jesus or Rosier or whoever is there, the **** will hit the fan.

Don't even go there.

How is he getting played by Fisher? The kid is probably the best qb in the state... I saw his junior film and thought he was just a straight up athlete but his evolvement as a qb this year is amazing... The kid can play and to be honest I wouldnt be surprised to see him start his rs-sophomore year because I don't think he will beat out a veteran Coker... The kid can play and I don't see whay he can't play qb in our system... We pretty much line up in spread most of the time and although Coley hasn't done it much this year he likes option runs.... That being said, Kaaya runs his offense out the spread... And isn't Rosier a spread QB? Maybe Fisch had a different philosophy but not Coley... At FSU Treon will be in the spread most of the time... I'm telling you the kid is the truth... The only qb I have seen made this leap in development is Teddy B. He went from a rollout bootleg qb his sophomore year to the epitome of an athletic drop back qb...

I trust this staff. I dont understand the Malik Rosier thing though.

they need someone who is willing to be a back up QB for most of his career.... Treon Harris aint trying to sit behind Kaaya and Olsen for 4 years.

No they like Rosier better... You don't recruit back ups... You recruit ball players and if they are beaten out by someone you have a talented back up... I truly believe our entire staff recruits every player as if they have AA potential not to just be a back up...
