So am I to believe his dad has coached his whole life, and his brother played in the league, but he doesn't want to play in the NFL at all. Sorry people not buying the bullsht being sold here. It doesn't matter to me either way.

Go to Gainsville, turn down The U and regret it the rest of your life.

Breaking: Treon Harris transferring from Florida

When will they ever learn?

I like to think of it as having turned down the last idiot we had as coach. He should have been a DB regardless of where he played, but I can understand not wanting to play for those 3 stooges we had as HC, OC and DC.

You guys layoff Treon. He didn't receive any bad advice. All the kid wanted was a chance to play quarterback. In fact, the kid said if quarterback didn't work out he didn't mind moving to wide receiver or defensive back. Golden would not give him that opportunity. Jimbo Fisher promised him that opportunity and he committed to Florida State. He then committed to Florida after they hired a new offensive coordinator. The kid got a chance play quarterback. ****, he can even say he won some big games as quarterback. He beat Georgia. So, it hasn't been a failure. But he should be at Miami.

Dude, what are you talking about, but 99% of the kids want a shot at the NFL and some real $$$. The was NEVER going to happen as a QB. He should have switched in HS to DB or WR. If he was totally insistent on being a QB, then a school smaller school and tried to ball out. Now he is having to Learning a new position as a JR. He'll never sniff the NFL. It's a shame.

Just an FYI Braxton Miller switched from QB to wr in his sr season coming off an injury. He was drafted this year in the 3rd round. So dont act like it is impossible for him to switch positions as a junior and be successful. Especially now that he is transferring he will be able to sit out a year and learn the position. Then have 2 yrs to showcase if he has the potential as a wr or cb. He will get a chance somewhere.

Should go to FIU, where his brother is on the staff as RB coach/Co-OC... or go to UCF with Scott Frost who runs a Spread offense to fit his skill set

I think it's an interesting story to follow, just as an example of the recruit who tells basically every major D1 coach they're all wrong and insists on playing QB. I wonder if he transfers to a smaller school, FAU or FIU and gets another shot at QB.

bought the bait of "you are a QB in college" when others wanted him as a WR.....all ego driven

So the kid wanted to play QB in college and you are faulting him for that? Is he supposed to follow his dream or the dreams of others?

He will always be able to say he started QB at one of the best programs in the country in the toughest conference in America. Not a lot of people can make that claim.

I just don't get where you guys fault him for doing what he wanted to do.

So better to go play for the stooges in Gainsville?

Exactly. The kid followed his dreams.

when numerous people tell you something and it forms a pattern, you typically want to listen to them. He didn't want to believe them because his whole life he was told how awesome and special he was. The one school that told him "come play QB for us" was a sinking ship that was desperate and hooked him with what they knew was their edge knowing it wasn't doing right by Treon and his future.

Now he has to learn a new position halfway through his college career, leave the friends he has made and now go somewhere that likely never was high on his list. So to answer your question, yes the writing was on the wall, he rolled the dice and is now paying for it.

You are one weird dude.....you make no sense at all and are complaining because the kid did what he wanted and desired to do with his OWN college football career. **** the kid was even a starting college football at the level people said he wouldn't be. He did exactly what these young men are supposed to do.

He followed his dreams right to the scrap heap. He'll probably wind up at some shythole low-level program, will get in trouble again, get booted then wind up in life's diarrhea puddle. Hail the dream chasers!

You white boys are just as racist as your forefathers.

What does that have to do with race? We as African Americans need to stop playing the race card all the time. I think he winds up at a UCF or FAU.

White boy? I'm blacker than Wesley Snipes. You wanna compare skin tone? I'll out black you any day of the week. I won Mr. Melanin 2013.
