But based off of this kids relationship with the tua family he was a lay up to alabama.

Bama recruits based off what they were and that propaganda machine. Same reason why we would get a Duke Johnson cause of the lore we had built. Dude is going to go there and lose but thats how it is.

I think we came in 2nd or 3rd so there was interest. Kid is open to seeing what we have to say...he IS our choice for QB1 for the cycle. If we are trying to have competition at the QB position and not have to recruit the portal, elite QBs are a need

Mario is stubborn when it comes to recruiting and doesn't give up when other coaches abandon ship. When it comes to QB recruiting, he's even more intense. Ultimately, this is why we've had the success we've had with portal QBs. At some point, he's going to win one of these lost causes in HS QB recruiting.

With other coaches, pouring efforts into a recruitment like this prevents resources from being used on recruits that we have a chance with. However, since Mario seems to have unlimited time and resource for recruiting, I don't think there's any harm in protracting certain battles.

Of course he's signing with Bama but you never know how things will end up. Could be a portal option for us down the road. Plus, the school has other players too. This is Mario's "Christmas" time. Coaches are everywhere right now so he's probably like a kid in a candy store going to all of the schools.
