Dawson was initially scheduled to fly to Atlanta and take a connecting flight to Birmingham, Ala. before making a short drive to Clay-Chalkville High School to watch Seaborn and Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson in a major non-district matchup, but when it appeared he wouldn’t be able to make it to kickoff in time if he stuck to the original plan, Dawson called an audible. Miami’s offensive coordinator shared with Seaborn’s father he chose to cancel his connecting flight in Atlanta Thursday afternoon and rented a car to drive a little more than two hours to Pinson, Ala. to ensure he’d be able to make it to Seaborn’s game on time.

“I think that speaks volumes,” Seaborn told CaneSport. “When my dad told me that my jaw dropped. I was absolutely blown away and couldn’t thank him enough for how much of a priority I was that he would go through that and it really has set the bar very high.”

“He said he was very impressed with how I did,” Seaborn said. “He was very proud of me even though we came up short in the end. He gave me a lot of words of encouragement and (talked about) how great he thought I did. I was very blessed he had the opportunity to come out and watch me.”

Seaborn took what will likely be his final visit to Miami before he makes a decision — likely this year — for the Canes’ game against USF. He’s already visited South Carolina and will visit Alabama this weekend, Auburn Oct. 11, Alabama again Oct. 18 and Oregon Oct. 25.

Are we just taking 2 Qbs in 27, or is the staff just completely ignoring Lawrence reclassifying?...

If we go Portal again this year, let Emory transfer to try to get PT, then in 2027 bring in 2, that'd make sense to me.
this is what i would do.....If Emory doesnt win in spring he should find a spot to start.

If Neiman reclassifies with his trajectory i think you should bring him in.....If Seaborn gets throuhg that visit gauntlet he is ours more than likely

Take both 2027 QBs if it happens. I think bama kid jumps if it does.

No chance we go into spring with Emory at 1, I’m ok with him at 2 but would prefer two portal plus Coleman, Luke. Portal 1 1yr starter. Portal 2, sophomore with some experience and upside. Clearly, I’m dreaming but gotta dream big to win big

Please excuse my ignorance. I don't truly follow recruiting classes that are that far out. Is Lawrence reclassifyng a done deal? 100% certain to happen?
