Trent “Toolbox” Harris

What does this even mean? Lol he’s obviously in football shape and has been taking live action reps

He should be at worse on someone’s practice squad if he’s leading a very important stat category of what can be called a “triple AAA” league in the xfl
But he's not on someone's practice squad... It's not hard to understand... Once you leave the NFL it's very difficult to get back in.. good luck to him if he can but odds aren't in his favor...

He spent the last NFL season as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad. He hasn't been "out" of the NFL. There's a bunch of practice squad guys who played in the XFL this year.

Again.. hopefully he can find his way back.. see what happens..

Practice squad players aren't on multi-year contracts like roster players. Nobody is on a practice squad during the off-season.

I'm pretty sure that it takes multiple "service years" to vest in the NFL pension, but I think that you get lifetime healthcare insurance if you play in one regular season game.

And you are correct on the multi-year contracts. I don't even think you can be on a multi-year contract AND be put on the practice squad, otherwise teams would stash players there.

Right.. that was my first sentence in what you quoted..

Yes. But… if you don’t realize this league is the perfect way to stay in football shape and sharpen skills while letting NFL teams rejudge your value than you’re mistaken.

Look no further than the panthers QB they started the last year… the ole Houston USFL or XFL league kid who was out of the league for a few years and put on a show on that stage and guess what made it back in.

As I said it's tough to do that... Not saying he can't , just it's hard to fall off a roster and get back on... As of now he's technically a free agent unless he either signs to another practice squad or gets a full offer...

hes got the pension. his mom told me about it and it was the main thing he was praying for and he got that when he played for the Giants.

Loved this guy. Hope he gets back on a 53.

I was really hoping we could keep Thomas Davis. I always saw him developing into a similar role. People forget how productive Trent was coming off the bench. Really thought Davis could eventually get to that level.
