The NBA Summer League games started this past week for the Miami Heat. Former Miami Hurricanes point guard Tre Donaldson shined in his first three games of the summer with the Heat.

Yesterday afternoon, Donaldson made his first summer league start for the Heat. He had a career day posting 15 points, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals during yesterday’s 95-85 win over the Golden State Warriors.



He also recorded 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and was perfect from the field (4-4 FG, 1-1 3PT, 1-1 FT) during the win over the San Antonio Spurs. Donaldson showed off his flashiness and shot-making ability while showing he can be a reliable defender.

The Heat finished 2-1 in the California Classic Games. Miami is now shifting its focus to the Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, and Cleveland Cavaliers in Las Vegas this weekend.

 

 

Tre looks like a second year player already. Dude is going to be our backup point guard sooner or later. So much more dynamic than Dru Smith while still being a dawg defensively. Will probably stay on the 2-way this szn but end up on a standard deal next year.

He is a perfect fit as a Heat PG.. not flamboyant, just distribute the ball and hit your open 3s and be tenacious on D.

The thing with Donaldson is he doesnt have much TURNOVERS IN THESE GAMES AS WELL.
I know Spo just loves this dude he is gonna end up playing a game or two in the nba this year for the Heat.

Him and the White (Kansas) kid they picked up are perfect for development.
