Just sharing something I read on ESPN Insider:

On that subject, those close to the program have told me in recent weeks that the school is laboring to let candidates know that the administrative commitment to football is going to improve in the future. But it’s time to show, not tell.

Just sharing something I read on ESPN Insider: The Bold part

A new direction -- and a good choice -- for the Canes might be Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez, coaches say. Rodriguez’s spread would play extremely well with the level of skill-player recruit in South Florida, and Rodriguez would give “The U” a face of the program for the first time in a long time.

Rodriguez, who is making around $3 million a year right now at Arizona, fits into Miami’s financial picture. At least a start... owning up to the lack of administrative commitment.... whatever that means $$$?

If money isn't an issue, get Rich Rod the fugg out of my face.

Chip, Patterson, Gundy, Mullen, Dantonio, etc....make it happen.

I saw something earlier on Rich Rod where he has something stipulated in his contract that results in much more money. Needless to say, I'd be shocked if Rich Rod leaves Arizona.

The rich rod part is irrelevant. What can be gleaned from this is that they are telling candidates they are going to make more of commitment to football

I find it hilarious that when the hurricanes job opened up espn and other media starting throwing out mario cristobal name and strong and im missing other jokr canidates but when other jobs open up they are throwing out nfl head coaches names and top head coaches from other schools

They want to see us continue to fail

Rich Rod isn't leaving Arizona. He'd be a fool to.

The local boosters cut him in on some of the local fracking revenue. He gets, iirc, somewhere around a 20 million dollar payday bonus. His assistants get z cut, too.

**** Rod would bring some excitement for sure. Problem is his teams play no defense. It's tough to find that balance between wide open exciting offense and competent defense, and he hasn't been able to do it.

Before someone says, "just give him a great DC" I'm sure there were idiots in Ann Arbor clamoring for him to just have a great DC. They've probably wished he would just get a great DC at Arizona too.

Think about that for a second. A college football coach getting a $20 million bonus.

I'm a rich rod nut hugger (lol). I love how that guy plays football, and I love how he has an identity on both sides of the ball. But if somebody like Chip Kelly and big money is an option then it's not even close. You call everyone of those guys and some before you get to Rodriguez.

Yup. I keep seeing Miami rated as the #2 available job, but most of the names being mentioned are clowns. If #2 wants mario, why doesn't #6 ?

if that's true how come they settled for Rich Rod? couldn't they have pulled in a bigger fish?

The point of me posting this article is not about RICH ROD..... That was the guy's opinion.

The bold part is what we should be discussing.
