This is a big time want.

"As a sophomore in 2020 he played in 10 games and a total of 883 snaps. He conceded a solid 9 QB hurries, 3 QB hits, and 3 sacks while playing at center.

In 2021 as a junior Lee saw action in 12 games and totaled 705 snaps. He gave up 4 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and one sack while playing at center.

In 2022 as a senior Lee saw action in 13 games and played a total of 986 snaps for the Knights. He allowed just 3 QB hurries, no QB hits, and one sack while playing at center."

NFL Draft Profile
  • For all of his physical gifts, often gets terribly sloppy, especially in pass protection.
  • He’s a bit underpowered the more Lee has to move in the run game, better in a phone booth than out in space.
  • Not great in space and tends to lose power the farther he has to move; he doesn’t finish as well on the second level as he does battle in the phone booth around the line of scrimmage.
  • Lee doesn’t have the violent hands to stand up pass rushers, and he lacks the strength at the point of attack to generate movement at the line of scrimmage
His draft profile makes him seem like he’s a POS lmao

OSU board reporting Kenyatta Jackson is likely portal kid. Former 2021 top 100 edge from Chaminade. We should be all over that if it happens.
Was wondering about him. Got no burn this year and is buried behind some other highly rated guys. This would make sense.

It’s wild though. He was a true FR buried behind a deep talented DL on a playoff team, of course his PT was going to be minimal lol. OSU has the best DL coach in America, trust him. You did sign there for a reason. 5 years ago this wouldn’t even be a thing. These kids and their lack of patience man. Of course, that’s if this comes to fruition. This is just a rumor for now obviously.

Seeming like a lot of the kids that wouldn't listen to Mario's sale pitch because he got hired too late are hitting the portal (or are rumored to be considering hitting the portal).

Kenyatta, Shemar and MJJ you're on the clock. Tolan and Lucas are already in.

Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. But could it be that Mario is better at this back channelling than CIS will give him credit for?

Lol for sure. But I take that as draft scouts believing he's not likely a starting caliber center in the NFL which isn't that crazy considering there's just not a ton of those like there are tackles and guards. Especially when you consider some guards just end up being backup centers as well in the event of injuries.

But you can be a perfectly good center at the college level and not make it to the NFL.

Mike Norvell is the desperate guy who was all over the girls who came into the bar at 9 pm.
..and got/gettin' laid a lot.

I'll chime in about some of the comments about closet 'Nole fans, 2nd favorite team... Fact of the matter is that every time they make a move, and have made several positive ones, the board is FULL of "but it's not sustainable" comments. Wonder how many of those were the one's jeering when they beat us out for a couple portal candidates last year? How'd the respective seasons turn out?
My contention is that NIL and the portal are new frontiers. Mario's proceeding in a tried and true fashion, and that's fine, but it's not like he's guaranteed success. Building with youth can have pitfalls like....losing. These stellar recruits gonna hang out if the results are mediocre for say another 2 seasons?
Now for FSU, the bottom  could fall out (as many contend), but if they keep having success are we suggesting the brand isn't strong enough to draw a higher-caliber recruit, Norvell notwithstanding? I simply have trouble with the pervasive mentality that we have the formula for success and they don't. How about just giving credit where credit's due?
In addition, we/Mario have our own fish to fry. For example(s): how's that qb room looking? OC? overall offensive philosophy? a #1 receiver won't touch us with a 10 ft poll? Even the stellar recruiting class, and it is terrific, was lite a wr, certainly DT, and possibly qb. That should be acknowledged.
