Yeah, everyone knows 7-9 is the number. A couple more DL, LB, some DBs, OL, WR, QB, will all be hit imo.

It’s a bummer to see these guys go. But this is the new CFB. The only kids that will get developed will be the under the radar kid out of HS. These highly rated recruits will chase the easy route and never stick it out. Heck I even think the mid tier recruits will do it too. If they feel buried on a depth chart, they will seek greener pastures. If they have a good year they will look to cash in.

SCHOLARSHIP COUNT
With Karnley and Murray transferring out, I believe we have 79 players on scholarship.
I am counting LS Adam Booker as a scholarship player and S Isaiah Taylor as a walk-on.
This means we have room for at least 6 more transfers. We could give scholarships to guys who have played, like Owen Ruskavich, Sam Coufal, Braylon Lamar, or Nick Kelly; but knowing Mario, he'll want to stuff the roster up with as much talent as possible.
The position group that is the lightest is WR, with 7 scholarship players.
Also kind of light are RB (4), S (5 + Taylor), and QB (4 but 1 is likely on his way out).

Based on this, I'd like to see us get:
2 WR
1 safety
1 RB
+2 players who are either DL, LB, or S.
If and when a backup QB leaves, we should probably try to find someone there, too. We played a season with 3 scholarship QB's not too long ago, and it didn't go great.

I'd have him back on the roster if the NDSU kid doesn't work out.
