Transfer Portal Questions

Once a player is officially listed in the transfer portal, what does that allow? Can coaches from other programs initiate contact? Or does it simply mean that the player can now initiate contact/interest in other programs?

If a player is in the transfer portal, are they allowed official visits while still enrolled or only unofficial/self paid visits?

Can a player list themselves in the transfer portal with the option to remove their name and return to the current school, similar to undergraduates testing draft waters?

It allows other schools to contact you.

I do not believe they're allowed any official visits.

They can add or remove their name from the portal at any time.

I could be wrong but pretty sure they can take official visits

They are allowed to take official visits and be actively recruited by other schools

correct, players also have the ability to control if they want to be contacted while still being in the transfer portal.
