They locked in on Sheehan too early. I was way more impressed with Tyler Lichtenberger, the App St freshman who transferred to Clemson. Boca kid who I saw play summer ball.
 
I think Sheehan will be ok. I like the pick up. Safe. He will be solid.

That being said I really hope we start to keep freshman around and less portal. Start to develop guys and show them if they just stick around beyond 1 year it will pay off. Now if we are able to start spending big and go the LSU/Tenn route fine.

The portal is great to fill in spaces but its so risky with all the mid major guys with inflated numbers. Some are def capable (ogden).

Sheehan with 0 BBs but 14k in 52 ABs is a red flag to me. If you’re struggling, at least grind out some ABs, draw some walks to get on base

Maybe Chris Dominguez will teach him what quality ABs are supposed to look like

He'll play 2B and bat 9th in a worse case scenario.
I'm not sure Ogden is going anywhere...we can match any bonus that is offered to him.

Portal season still open, it’s warning signs for Miami coaches to know they should bring in another MIF for competition

The amount of people that want JD fired, he’s going to need the best players on the field or the vultures will be out if guys are not contributing to wins next year
