I don't claim to be an NCAA rules guru - so can someone explain to me the impact of all these transfer talks with our initial counters?
My concern....we are already so far under our 85 scholarship limit. If we use initial counters on transfer kids with on 1-2 years left, how long do we think it will take to get back to our full allotment? Do grad transfers only count against the 85 and not the 25 counters? The few things i've read online seem vague.
We need bodies to fill a scout team and develop depth. Right now our depth is garbage. I understand we need an infusion of talent/new blood and this staff needs to win next year to get the stink off and help recruiting. I guess i'm just trying to understand the long-term ramifications from a numbers side. Also wondering if this transfer portal and number of guys leaving will force another rules change by the NCAA.
