Feels like many are dialed in on the at Louisville October 19 followed by hosting Florida State October 26. Not to put that stretch down but believe going to South Florida on September 21 to then host Virginia Tech on September 27 is tougher. USF is a good G5 team and we will be their Super Bowl getting without a doubt their best shot. Virginia Tech is a dangerous team that is our ACC opener on a short week. Both teams finished last season strong and VT has a ton of returning production with a sneaky good QB. They might not recruit at the level that we have but they recruit to their identity and are well coached. As a team that needs to learn how to win, these two games will challenge us in that regard.

And after VT it's a cross country trip to Cal.

I think USF is the type of game you win with the two lines. May not look really pretty, but you punch them over and over and separate in the late 3rd or 4th Q.

I am worried about VT at home on a Friday, though. Plainly.

I think we handle Florida and then need to avoid the trap on the road against USF. If we are 4-0 going into the VT match up, we will smoke them at home in a raucous environment. The real test is that road trip to Cal. We come out of the gates 6-0 and it is on. UL may still get us on the road, but we won't drop two back to back.

The toughest opponent Miami will face is themselves, each and every week.

This means they will have 13 ranked games this season, making their schedule the toughest of all.
