If I knew my uncles father in law I would ask him personally. He’s more involved and aware of what’s going on and regularly attends meetings and gatherings. I just don’t hear much from them living in Miami and Naples and me living in Tennessee. I would really like to know and hope that it’s true

No harm in asking. What was the school’s response to your family removing their donations?

15 years of mediocrity has caused me to Stop payments on future donations. I had my financial advisors and business attorney draft a certified letter to 5 individuals at the University of Miami leadership. In the letters was account statements totaling over $600k invested into the program and school since I attended there in 1999.
We had scripted over 16 pages of statistical truths and decisions made since we made Donna “the troll” Shalala president of the university.
She turned the program from a hometime private University that gave under privledged kids a chance for a free top notch education into a private school only for the 1%.
We also drafted a proposition in which we would fully fund and finance to have an outside firm research and recruit a replacement Head Coach for 2020 if Richt failed to win the ACC, which we know statistically speaking, he has a 12.7% chance of that happening. This firm would include a group of 13 former Canes, each from different eras and backgrounds , who also signed the letter agreeing to work pro bono for the better of the program. These Canes would remain anonymous until they had selected their candidate.
We did NOT demand for anyone’s firing or dismissal as that is Busch league politics. We frankly made it known, without error or doubt, that the University has failed at progressing the football program and has not made decisions that took into account numerous basic football facts.

I 100% don’t think this will get us anywhere, no do I expect a response from their legal team or administrative. But I’m sick and tired of just *****ing and wanted to take steps to put my money where my mouth is.

I love this school but enough is enough.

I applaud you for your effort.

Thank you.

@ATL_UTD_Cane,
Are you aware of the internal report that was done that showed just how poorly donna was handling business at UM? I don't have a lot of specifics on this survey report but its my understanding that the agency which conducted the research concluded that Donna was running the university like her personal slush fund and that all promotions were essentially based on being part of her club.

Donna seems to have found a way to keep that report away from the public. It sure would be good to get a hold of a copy of that report.

I already told them I won't be renewing suite tickets unless major changes are made. I'm not on a Golden Canes level but the donations are several thousand per year, not including away games, etc. In reference to the Shannon and Golden years, I believe this is different as they were inexperienced/low level and expectations were relative. Rorcht is being paid more than Kirby and lawd look at these programs, one is vastly better and the other is exactly the same just on the opposite side of the ball; at double the salary.

Wait... more than Kirby. Now way bro.
