Would decline the bowl game if the CFP/ACC doesn't do the right thing, on account of how absurd all this is.
Everyone’s getting upset at everyone except ourselves. Yes, there’s a clear bias against the ACC, that’s been obvious and openly acknowledged since the CFP began. And if the ACC won’t even fight for itself, why would the committee fight for the ACC?We have to share some blame in some ways, but I will not & cannot let go of my 1st gripe. Oh, one other gripe:
4. WHY IN THE FCK DID IT TAKE US 3/4 OF THE SEASON TO FINALLY “LET IT RIP?” Why did we continue to put ourselves in perilous situations in 5 of our first 8 games b4 flipping the switch to just dominate? Now it looks like we’re putting lipstick on the pig to change the committees mind.
Yep. I'd decline the invite - everyone sits out anyway.Boycott Bowl
They're no longer kids getting gift cards from Bowl Games. Not fair the kids. Many will want to play. They also enjoy the gifts and money from the bowl as a team. Sucks for the fans and the seniors/juniors declaring that this is how it ends but it’s dumb to even say skip the bowl.
Can’t be said enough. Most will be too in their feels and crying about how unfair it is to know this is our own undoing. This isn’t to dump or mope on Mario. it took two losses to stop hiding behind early W’s. If we’re lucky this new found appreciation for letting it rip continues next year and we don’t just revert back to caveman tactics.Everyone’s getting upset at everyone except ourselves. Yes, there’s a clear bias against the ACC, that’s been obvious and openly acknowledged since the CFP began. And if the ACC won’t even fight for itself, why would the committee fight for the ACC?
All of the other stuff of ND, B1G, and SEC teams getting preferential treatment were known knowns. All we had to do was control our fate but we decided to relinquish that control and hand it over to the incompetent ACC and CFP
But the frustration should really be aimed at Mario and his staff. They turned this team into a group of meat-grinders, stubbornly shoving everything through by hand and then acting surprised when they kept losing fingers. The safety tool, the one designed to push the meat through without injury, isn’t just a prop. It’s literally there to protect you from yourself, and they ignored it until it was too late. Only after losing most of their left hand did they finally switch things up and let the players actually play.
IMO, that’s the most frustrating part. We knew the ACC would be lucky to get one team in. We knew the ACC wasn’t going to help us. We knew we had a smaller margin for error than teams outside the conference. And yet we still played with our food, and choked because of it.
