The fans are way off...
Offense - #93
Defense - #2
In 2007 we here (while on another website) named the 2007 game against NC State as the "Kirbnobyl game." Kirby Freeman went 1 for 17 in a game where 2 for 17 would have won the game.
This year we finished 93rd in total offense in a year when finishing like 75th would have put us in the ACC championship game and in a New Year's day bowl game. Therein lies the anger and frustration.
We were 53 in total offense in 2007. Statistically I would guess this our worst offense ever.
Defense executed better .....

@twes.305 this guy agrees with youThe Offensive Coordinator is NOT responsible for the productivity of the offense.
Blame the players, blame the fans, blame the weather... But you leave those Coaches alone!
LOL, well that I can't argue with. #FireRorchtThanks for tagging me.. I saw those numbers the other day and came away very impressed.
The defense is elite... great job Canes!
Never said coaches are not responsible for the offensive side of the ball, all I'm saying unfortunate events have caused the offensive to have a lack a leadership. That being said you can work around it. Please read.@twes.305 this guy agrees with you
But yea that offense is just a hair away from greatness.
This is crazy, numbers don't lie.We didn't play any world beater defenses outside of LSU and UVA (based on rankings). The offense needs a complete overhaul.
Total D for opponents.
LSU - 31
Toledo - 93
FIU - 58
UNC - 107
FSU - 80
Virginia - 24
BC - 72 (only Holy Cross scored less than Miami)
Duke - 83 (only Northwestern scored less than Miami)
GT - 46 (only Alcorn St and Bowling Green scored less than Miami)
VT - 96
Pitt - 69

I beg to disagree. Miami is 11-1 and has a chance to be in the play off's. Defeat Clemson, for example. But that's all moot.If we're anywhere near the 40-50 range I'd bet we're at least 10-2 playing in a NY6 bowl.
