Total O to Total D

Says it all. End of statement, drops mic, walks out front door, gets in Navigator, and sets off into the sun.....

We didn't play any world beater defenses outside of LSU and UVA (based on rankings). The offense needs a complete overhaul.

Total D for opponents.
LSU - 31
Toledo - 93
FIU - 58
UNC - 107
FSU - 80
Virginia - 24
BC - 72 (only Holy Cross scored less than Miami)
Duke - 83 (only Northwestern scored less than Miami)
GT - 46 (only Alcorn St and Bowling Green scored less than Miami)
VT - 96
Pitt - 69

Insightful. I'd add other aspects, like yards/play on both offense and defense. 3rd down % conversion. RZ TD conversion, etc. Of course, points/game. Total D and Total O give only a slight part of the perspective on just how bad/good things may be.

In 2007 we here (while on another website) named the 2007 game against NC State as the "Kirbnobyl game." Kirby Freeman went 1 for 17 in a game where 2 for 17 would have won the game.

This year we finished 93rd in total offense in a year when finishing like 75th would have put us in the ACC championship game and in a New Year's day bowl game. Therein lies the anger and frustration.

Great post especially the info on teams that scored less than us. Men lie, women lie but numbers don’t. Wish one of our beat writers had the guts to tell richt why based on these statistics there shouldn’t be an overhaul of the offense.
