Torrance Gibson

... But I thought he was a "can't miss, program changing, player"???

Another example of labeling kids too early.

You never REALLY know how a kid's talent will translate to the next level.

These kids don't get it. You go away to these schools and get buried in a depth chart. But not once do people call these coaches out.

Kid should have went to Auburn if he was dead set on playing QB. I did figure ole Urb would have given him a shot at QB though in his system. Makes me wonder about Gibson.

He failed by wanting to be qb.
5 star WR easily.

Bad advice he got and still getting it. Why he's trying to still play qb is crazy

Call the coaches out for what? Is it a coach's fault a kid gets buried on the depth chart?

It happens all the time. Gibson isn't the first. Remember Johnny Dixon? What is he doing? All these kids are extremely talented. Don't tell me they are just busting. I'm sure if they had come here they would have played and contributed.

urban sold him on being a qb though, he didn't recruit him at wr had he done that maybe Gibson wouldn't think he could actually be a qb,

they wanted him at wr and instead of being honest they told him he was being recruited at qb , at least Miami was honest with him.

Should we call Richt out for every Miami kid who doesn't see the field?

They already do. The south Florida HS coaches have always given our coaches heat when the "mislead" a guy. That's been a problem down here for awhile.

Maybe it's not about advice, maybe this kid is making his own choices. Maybe he believes in himself. And as for urb, I bet he figured the kid would fail at QB and would gladly switch to WR.
