Top 5 Miami Football Teams of All-Time. Do you agree with this list?

It would make me really happy for this to be a discussion of the top four teams because 2020 was the undisputed number one.

That's why I only said it would make me happy. Given how strange 2020 has been, I wouldn't be surprised if we beat Vanderbilt in the championship game.

Hard to believe all 5 NC QBs won titles as underclassmen, Bernie as a Freshman and Steve, Craig, Gino and Kenny as Jrs. Crazy nobody repeated, takes a lot of talent and breaks to win it all, one hiccup and it’s over.

I agree, people forget how bad that Oline was in 92 post-Searcy, it got so bad that Carlos Etheredge was moved from TE to RT and I think Kipp Vickers was moved over to the other side of the ball . It was right around this time that you could see how poorly Erickson had recruited upfront.

That 92 team was fortunate to beat Arizona at home 8-7. Thats when you had a feeling there were some issues...

Carlos actually moved to LT at 238. Mario missed most of the season with injuries. Kip switched sides mid year, Zev was Zev. Now I agree that recruiting under Dennis was going the wrong way but for folks here to blame it totally on Coach E have no clue. Started in 88 when Jimmy told Tad what he really thought of him and got out of dodge because Foote wanted more control over football including recruiting, trying to build the Harvard of the south. So it continued in 89 then the Cotton Bowl came along, Tad was furious and the other shoe fell! Additionally prop 48 was in full swing and the combination of things along with the Pell grant scandal is what took its toll. Butch put up with the same bull **** early on and some restrictions were lifted as probation faded and Coach Davis built one of the greatest rosters in college football history. He also faced scholarship losses early on and still assembled those 1999-2003 squads. This info is from multiple sources including coaches, players and board members. Other than that it’s rumor!
