That's a list that would be really close, but they've already screwed it up. At the very least you have to save room for Reed, Wayne, Wilfork, Gore, Andre Johnson, and I know I'm missing some but those may be the top five. then as far as the TEs go, I don't think you can put those first two over Greg Olsen. Would be close with Shockey

Almost impossible to do just five. There's three or four sure fire HoF guys there in Reed, Johnson, Wayne, possibly Wilfork, possibly Olsen. Then you have guys that stuck in the league for a bunch of years like Portis, Mcgahee, Williams, Vilma, Moss, McKinney, Shockey, Graham, and many more. Tough list to compile.

Like your top 5. It's a little early in Jimmy's career to place him, and people can validly argue his value as a "tight end", but as a pass catcher he's going to get close to 10,000 yrds and 100 tds, aka HOF. He's already far outpaced Shockey, and will be well ahead of Olsen when all is said and done.

Unfortunately he wasn't able to play long but Sean Taylor should be number 1, probably the greatest football player to ever live and play the game

I love Hester and Graham but they don't belong on that list. If I was just sticking with offense Wayne and Gore would be on there to replace those two very easily.

ST over Ed Reed in an NFL list is insane. Love me some ST but no. Reed should be #1 on anyone's list if they want to be taken seriously.

With all respect to ST,RIP, his career was just too short to pop him over Reed. Had he lived, he might have proven greater than Reed but that would have been a heavy lift even for ST. Ed was something to behold and holds College and NFL championships -- that is how we measure around here. What a blessing that we had them back to back. All that said, ST was a physical and talent marvel seldom seen.

There are too many to list though. I'd like to echo Lib City's honorable mentions...

Greg Olsen, Antrel Rolle, Devin Hester, Kellen Winslow II, Jon Vilma, Jon Beason, Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, DJ Williams, Santana Moss, Bryant McKinnie, Calais Campbell, Allen Bailey, Brandon Meriweather, Dan Morgan, Eric Winston, Chris Myers, Najeh Davenport, Olivier Vernon, Jerome McDougle, Vernon Carey, Damione Lewis, Phillip Buchanon, Lamar Miller, Travis Benjamin, Roscoe Parrish, Rocky McIntosh, Mike Rumph, Kenny Phillips, Denzel Perryman, Leonard Hankerson

Ed Reed, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, and Vince Wilfork are likely all Hall of Famers, so they've got to be the Top 4. Devin Hester will make the Hall as a returnman, pretty incredible. He'd be #5 .

Jimmy Graham was well on his way to the Hall of Fame and still could be if he finishes strong and gets back to producing. Sean Taylor would have been a Hall of Famer. They'd be 6 and 7, I guess. Frank Gore is a 10,000 yard back, Clinton Portis fell just short, but popped higher as his first four years he was an elite back, and Greg Olsen is about as good as you can be as a TE without being a Hall of Famer. That'd be my Top 10.
