Well no wonder why Clemson is so amazing. They spent 2.2M on their DC and over 2m on their OC.

This is the secret to success. Either you hire a system guy or hire a recruiter and surround him with quality OC/DC. This is why I believe Cristobal would special down here if the admin was ready to give him real support. Bags aside, I'd put Mario up against anyone in the country.

Notice, all playoff teams have coaches that made the list. That's not a coincidence!

You are right about that. You need to spend money to get the best guys. Its just the way it goes and the best guys are going to give you the most success. Its not just one guy. You need elite guys at both coordinator spots and they need to hire elite postion coaches.

I remember watching an interview with Urban where hes asked "What kind of position coach would you have, a recruiter or technician?? Urban replied "BOTH".

Theres a reason Clemson spends more than $2M on their coordinators. And Bama... and LSU.. and OSU.. and theres probably a list of schools that will soon be in the group too. If you want to attract quality coaches, and keep them, you are going to have to pay.

When Diaz is finally shown the door, UM needs to decide if we are going to live on our legacy alone or invest In our program. Even if our 'diamond in the rough' hire finally works out for once (whoever that is), hes going to be out as soon as big $ schools offer a better salary.

Pay a guy with proven success and give him the support he needs. No more analysts or up and comers. Get a guy who's done it before, offer a respectable budget, and this program will be back!

Mario '21 .....lol (seriously tho)

This is where they need to manage this like a business.
Hire a GM like position instead of HC. Then let all other position coaches be held accountable for their areas... both in terms of performance and recruiting.

17 of 25 are DCs. Interesting.

Also, this list will constantly evolve. Coaches don't say at the top of their game forever, just like players.

Many coaches made a name for themselves in the spread era as OCs - now they are running the offense at their schools as HCs and hiring high end DCs.

Plus, to win in today's game against those offenses, you need a top flight DC. There's not a lot of them out there so you'll have to pony up.

Said it over and over again. We can’t compete until we pay our assistant coaches more than peanuts. I thought we gave Enos 1 million but I guess not. This is how you end up with a staff with Banda, Patke and others. It’s a shame!

John Chavis should be incarcerated for theft. That man is just stealing money at this point. He was really good earlier in his career but this game has past him by.

Looks like he's out of a job now. Pittman hired Barry Odom. I agree though, Chavis was WAY past his prime. Funny thing is you just never know how that stuff will work out. When Auburn hired Kevin Steele I rolled my eyes. His past stints made me skeptical. Fast forward a few years and dude has been outstanding at Auburn. LOL

We did but they are private and don’t have to report it

I think Enos' salary this past year is less for Miami due to the payouts he is getting from his previous stops. I may be wrong there but I think I read that somewhere.

We did give Enos $1mill but because UM is private they don’t give out the salaries they pay. So Private schools aren’t going to make these lists.
