Gonna throw Vaughn Telemaque on the list somewhere.

This is a great list that I have no problem with. I am sure there are others we can add but you know, it's sad how these good/great players got so cheated out of a chance to compete for a title by a sorry coaching staff(minus CMR) and a selfish admin.

Alright, so it's the off-season and while most of the current focus on Canes football is on the spring ball, the tweet from the @theACCDN that paid tribute to Duke Johnson got me thinking a bit. I retweeted with a comment that he was the best UM player of the 2010's. I think it's a no-brainer actually. So how about the rest of the top 10?

So I'm a bit bored, and here's the list I came up with. Now, I didn't really try to factor in where a player was drafted or their NFL career. But impact and consistency at UM. And a guy had to have played two years in the 2010's to be eligible. I gave more credit to guys who were productive for multiple seasons. Keep this in mind, I tried to do this more off the top of my list and I didn't really research a lot of the stats, but just my general feel on the impact they made as Hurricanes. And I placed on emphasis on guys who had more than one good season as Hurricanes

Again, I may do a deeper dive into this in the summer. Here goes..

1- Duke Johnson: No brainer
2- Brandon Linder: Solid as a rock as a multi-year starter
3- Denzel Perryman: a hitting machine inside
4- Lamar Miller: maybe the most overlooked Miami running back. A real burner
5- Sean Spence: 'the Sixth Sense' had unreal insticts
6- Brad Kaaya: left UM as the all-time passing leader
7- Jon Feliciano: 'Mongo' was a stalwart inside
8- Stacey Coley: outside his soph year was always productive and a big play creator
9- Jacquan Johnson: incredibly high football IQ
10- Shaq Quarterman: day 1 starter at MIKE. Was very underappreciated -- till he was gone

Next 10

11- David Njoku: a walking mismatch for defenses, was actually underutilized
12- Ereck Flowers: would fit right in physically with the Cristobal/Mirabal OLines
13- Deejay Dallas: Versatile playmaker
14- Mark Walton: played early and often, was on his way to a big 2017 till his injury
15- Corn Elder: really good special teamer and scrappy corner
16- Phillip Dorsett: Miami could've used a guy like him outside last season
17- Ahmmon Richards: without his injury, he's a top 10 NFL pick
18- Braxton Berrios: his 2017 was memorable
19- Artie Burns: multi-year starter at corner, had all the measurables
20- Gerald Willis: a real trench bully inside

Honorable mention....

Clive Walford
Mike Jackson
Greg Rosseau
Trent Harris
Danny Isidora
RJ McIntosh
Allen Hurns
Anthony Chickillo
Olivier Vernon
Rayshawn Jenkins
Jamal Carter
Seantrel Henderson
Herb Waters
Deon Bush
Chad Thomas
Great thread and great list as always but Mike Pinckney has to be in there somewhere.

Man, the talent drop off during that time from the previous decade is colossal. Not a lot of next level production on that list. Thankfully it looks like it's beginning to reverse course again.
