we have had about 2 weeks of practice + a scrimmage to get a gauge for the team/players/newcomers and I thought it would be a fun exercise to see who’s our top 15 players heading into the season SO FAR, as I’m sure this list will change with another scrimmage Saturday.

(This is meant for BEST players, not most irreplaceable)

1. DT - Leonard Taylor
2. S - Kamren Kinchens
3. OL - Javion Cohen
4. C - Matt Lee
5. OT - Francis Maugioa
6. QB - TVD
7. TE - Elijah Arroyo
8. DE - Ahkeem Messidor
9. S - James Williams
10. DE - Reuben Bain
11. WR - Xavier Restrepo
12. RB - Ajay Allen
13. LB - Fransisco Maugioa
14. CB - Davonte Brown
15. OL - Jalen Rivers

Honorable mentions: RB - Henry Parrish, STAR - JaDais Richards, LB Wesley Bissainthe

This is purely based on my own opinion on what iv seen/read/heard etc etc. and im
Sure everyone’s list will be different in someways.

REally? I have been keeping up with practice reports as well and have not heard anything that would make me think LT is #1 on the list.

I realize he’s saying it’s his opinion but if we were going by what we’ve heard and were told Bain would be above LT, granted there’s been a lot of focus on the new guys when questions come up

My top 15 (I’m leaving freshmen off because I haven’t seen them play)
1. Kam
2. LT
3. Lee
4. Cohen
5. Mesidor
6. James Williams
7. Borregales (kickers are people too!)
8. TVD
9. Francisco
10. Colbie
11. Zion (if healthy)
12. Davonte
13. Arroyo (if healthy)
14. Deen
15. Xavier

The fact I read this post and thought about guys like Nyjalik Kelly, Branson Deen, Mark Fletcher, Ray Ray Joseph, and Anez Cooper being in the mix and/or worthy of honorable mention is a positive as far as roster construction in 2023 versus 2022.

Colbie Young, J Harvey, JHH, Jaleel Skinner, Cam McCormick, Tyler Harrel, Don Chaney, Malik Bryant, Raul Agguire and Samson Okunola as well. (Not all quite in the same tier as the ones mentioned above ) but as a top 30 players I will absolutely take that compared to last year.

D-Moneys Report today confirmed L-Taylor doing strong. Truth be told I’d be concerned if he was dominating because that means our OL doesn’t have the ability to stop him (which says more about the OL not being able to handle elite DTs more than how elite Taylor is) because I imagine he is being double teamed and targeted on All passing/running situations. To me that’s why you can see our DEs flash the most because Taylor is able to take up 2 OL due to his athleticism and talent.

Hopefully, James Williams plays to his potential or somewhere close to it. There was a lot not to like about his play last year.

Based on last year, he is not top 15 in my book.
