Ty Redmond is the best CB in the Nation.

He's not draft eligible this season so he's flying under the radar, but come 2028 NFL draft, he's going to be a top 10 pick.

I agree with this so much. I know I don’t need to deep dive here, but these lists get thrown out as “just content to consume in the offseason” which quickly gets converted to Heisman lists and ranking lists that then heavily influence the decision makers.

Edit: @JHallCanes if it wasn't clear, I'm not propping up the SEC, I mean that's why they have Sellers listed so much higher than Mensah despite Mensah's stats being so much better. There are people that actually believe that Sellers's stats are better solely because he played in the SEC, because ESPN says so.

It doesn't matter that SCarolina sucked in 2025, and so did their schedule, and in fact most of the SEC wasn't pretty mediocre too. And Duke won the ACC. Which yes, the ACC isn't some gauntlet, but it's not the FCS. But people really do believe that comparing the SEC and the ACC is like comparing the NFL to the FCS. And it's all thanks to ESPN.

The SEC isn't nearly what it was 10 years ago, but ESPN, and their SEC deal, wants you to believe it is. FSU crushing Alabama last year should have meant more to the talking heads than it did. FSU was not a good team, and they made Alabama look like junk. Now Alabama might dog walk them this year, as any half decent team should do to FSU at home, but that doesn't mean they are good. Stanford beat FSU last year, for crying out loud. Mighty SEC Alabama? Nope.

I got so tired of hearing about Alabama's 4 game "gauntlet" last year. Look at who their "gauntlet" played, and who they actually beat. NO ONE. It's all an illusion. It's time the college football world pulls back the **** curtain to see the truth about the SEC.

Bama had the unfortunate task of facing a team with essentially no film.

New OC and a new QB… sure people are familiar with Malzahn but they hadn’t seen him with those players. But just like everywhere else he’s been he gets figured out. A lot of smoke and mirrors with him. FSU would’ve probably beat a lot of good teams game 1 last… now there’s tape.

And Gus is gonna Gus.

Bama couldn’t run the ball or stop outside run all year. That FSU game wasn’t a fluke, it wasn’t a game 1 anomaly, they just a) weren’t that good and b) were an awful matchup.
