Worst day was early '80s when Schnellenberger's plan for an on-campus stadium was shot down.

Everything negative in current recruiting flows from there. I have no idea how anyone can pay attention to recruiting and be surprised at defections. Let's see, Program A has football front and center on campus. My buddies can walk a few hundred yards to watch me play. Program B plays 25 miles away in some renta-stadium with a contrived roof.

Tough call

Naturally my version will be rejected, in favor of all the genius rationalizations that vary from year to year. Obviously we've also got the bag clowns. Meanwhile the one constant is that direct comparison late in the game -- whether December or February -- leads to rejection of the University of Miami and its empty campus.

Sure, those were all bad days, but we had a reason to think tomorrow would be a better day, we'd come back. Today could be the start of the end. Today is going to negatively affect the team for years, no matter what.

We will rush the field when we beat Virginia.

Personally driving home from work and listening to sports talk radio guy talk about the NCAAs final judgement and sanctions for the Canes in'95

Last game at the OB -- UVA kicked our ****!
to me at least that game and the time FSU beat us like 48-3 or some crap when we were on probation are the 2 darkest days. The last 2 games were fun but every day since the season ended has been like sitting on spiked bat while having someone throw sand in your face while it ****ing in your mouth. At least in terms of being a UM football fan .

Oh one more...hearing that Frank mother ******* Gore blew out his knee before the season started. I was hyping him up to everybody that would listen. That really hurt.

Today is the worst, the culmination of a lousy year and lousy leadership from LSU to 4 losses,Massive indecision QB fiasco,
Diaz leaving, decommits by nearly everyone, clueless coach, 80's antique offense, awful staff promotions
J. Williams Departure. So hard to believe that in 1 year it can go south so quickly.
Richt appears to be Retired In Place Football program DOA, till him and Blake depart
there does not appear to be any silver lining here signing class is mid 30's In S.Fla unbelievable

I have always tried to be positive, and at the very least see hope for the future. I see absolutely zero to be excited or hopeful for now. Nothing.

Your list pretty much has the main ones covered.

I would delete FIU brawl( frankly, didn't see what all the fuss was about), add the Pata/Barnes murders.

Tearing down of the OB should be in or honorable mention. I'd remove the Gator flop given that it was during down years for us and no one except the fans at the game saw it.

Today is not a bad day, unless you are Anti-UM. We signed some **** good players today and will sign more in February.
