Bain and Ward would be my two for the last 20 years with Malachi riding shotgun.

Going back in time, i think Duke would be next in discussion, but it's hard to even crack that top ten when you bring in 5 championship (6) teams, 2 heisman, a person with an award named after him, and the HOF'ers.

Absolutely. They split votes, but McGahee was the key offensive player on the best offense in the country and #1 team all year long. Still should have one it. They love giving that trophy to the Oklahoma, SC, Michigan types all the time.

How did Taylor and Reed not win the Thorpe. Utterly ridiculous.

the Thorpe Award being an award based in the state of Oklahoma, is all you need to know. The fact that Derek Strait won it over Sean Taylor was a bigger robbery to me than the Whitaker-Chavez draw
