What about Dabo Swiney?

I think 1-6 is pretty clear. 7-10 is a toss up. I think a lot of Dabo's success is from Venables being his DC and having a legit OC. He's just a glorified recruiter, but it's hard to leave him off. I think Jimbo is a terrible game day coach for the talent they have. I've always liked Bob Stoops despite all the criticism he gets. After another successful year I wouldn't hesitate to put Tom Herman into the top 5-6.

I forgot Kelly. Hes right there outside the clear cut top 6. I put Stoops and Fisher 7-8 on my list because they have both won a championship with a team they built. I think Richt's track record of success in the SEC outweighs what Dabo has done in the ACC for only a few years despite last seasons team. I'd say Kelly and Richt are a toss up at 9-10 on my list with Dabo right on the cusp with Tom Herman.

Patterson has gone 23-3 the last 2 years with a Peach Bowl rout over Ole Miss.

I could see your point of view 2 years ago when he had just completed a 4-8 season in his second Big 12 year. In fact, I was sort of thinking the same thing myself back then.
