Too many people are living in the 80s. College football has COMPLETELY CHANGED.

Manny aint the problem, Blake aint the problem, the UM Pres aint the problem, the Board aint the problem. We could bring back every **** body responsible for the glory years of UM football and NONE of them will do **** for the program. Maybe we lose by 17 instead of 30. Maybe.

Unless and until Miami is allowed to play by the same rules as Bama, UGA, Clemson, etc, until and unless Miami is allowed to build up the infrastructure and network of handlers, agents, foundations, churches and boosters needed to procure the services of the best players, and until and unless this program actually gets the required resources from alumni and boosters to make all this happen, absolutely nothing will change. A better coach and AD might help us win a few more games here and there but we will never dominate the way those other schools dominate.

We got threatened with the death penalty for Benihana steak dinners and yacht parties. Meanwhile, Bama spends MILLIONS on buying 5 stars every year. It's just how it is. Until and unless we somehow get the same carte blanche to do the same for all our Florida talent, nothing will fundamentally change. Firing Diaz, Blake, the Board and the Pres is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

C' Mon man ... this shigitty sounds like a Loser Alert!!

The only way to start leveling the playing field across all of CFB is scholarship reductions. Drop from 85 to 75. 10 players per team, 50 from Bama-OSU-UGA-Clemson-OU, distributed across the D1 leagues.

This will never happen, of course.

About as likely as lightening-in-a-bottle hire as footbal coach.

What kind of loser are you?

Nothing is changing unless the thing YOU say aren’t the problem changes. We never competed with them when It came down to bags. Not even back in the day but do you know what the difference was back then compared to now? The Administration made winning a priority because they were growing the school. Now that UM is a national educational brand there is no need to be serious about winning. They’d rather be Duke and UVA and that’s the problem.

Why don’t you sit back and learn a thing or 5 before porsting.

Jimmy Johnson couldn’t win here?

Put the pipe down.

KID.

UM in the 80’s had coaches and players on a level some of you children may unfortunately never know

Wasn’t alive to know all of them but I’m well informed about how the level of our assistants have changed.

Big state schools like Bama will have a 100 walk ons along with NFL coaches and consultants paid by boosters..

Bro, this fan base got more excuses than a ninja caught fcking his Secretary by his wife. Geez Louise.
Manny put on the shaggy classic “wasn’t me” when asked at the press conference who was responsible for our failures on third down.

Absolutely. The NIL could easily make a “75” person scholarship limit a non issue. Actually, I’m curious if that will come into play now. Alabama could easily siphone away another 30-40 four star players...heck, why not 300 four star players through judicious NIL deals. Just starve the rest of college football of true talent and put it up on a shelf.

And for those who would say why go to Alabama and not play....it’s simple. Alabama would make NFL prospects as part of the recruiting process. Have your army of former NFL assistants evaluate each recruit, and tell each one what they’re likely chance is at an NFL future. For the ones who can be good college players but have no realistic NFL career...they can go elsewhere...or they can come to Alabama, contribute, and get half a million dollars along the way. Each.

Because there aren't enough snaps for every player in that scenario. There will be kids who want to actually play.

What does this have to do with being well coached, playing hard, mentally tough and fundamentally sound?
