Too many issues to count

this is all a hypothetical. I didnt say he was getting fired but if a top tier OC wants to come here and says I want these dudes with me as my condition of acceptance, id say enjoy Marshall again Alex.
But lets have a realistic hypothetical, because I think we both know Mirabal isn't getting fired...
Realistically OC, QB, and WR... maybe if the OC has to have his RB coach that could happen too. I don't see any OC "needing" a RB/TE coach though tbh. Like OC is mostly about QB if we are being honest.

I‘m not coming in here and wasting my time and yours posting the same ole drivel about breakdowns, pro’s & cons , who stood out and how I’m feeling as a fan. Nobody wants to read that and tbh I don’t feel like writing it. The game was what it was and so is the season. I’m over it all and I have no emotion about it either way. Nothing was shocking last night and that’s why it was easy for me to turn it off in the third quarter, as if I’ve been watching a bad movie. No anger , sadness or embarrassment. Just another horrible performance on a Saturday. Oh well.

This thread is more about the longterm health of the program and the countless issues staring it in the face . I’m going to make this short and sweet with no sugarcoating.

First and foremost this staff needs changes. Multiple coaches HAVE TO BE GONE!! If not the class will lose guys and current recruits will give Miami no shot. Program changing type recruits Including guys committed. That’s not opinion , that’s purely fact. Nobody wants to play for some of these coaches or their scheme.

We have of a staff of individuals instead of a staff. Coaches that care more about their ego, protecting their brand and moving up in coaching circles versus actually teaching and building relationships. Coaches that came here because they were butthurt at their other job, or had issues with their previous HC’s. When you have coaches leaking crap out or giving quotes throwing players under the bus to cover your own *** you lose the position room. Trust and respect go a long way in coaching and we lack that as a staff. This is far more than horrible coaching , it goes all the way down to recruiting. There’s only a few guys carrying the water and others that think just by showing up to the games everything is Gucci. “You‘ve been recruited , I’ve done my part“ lol.

Yes we have a bad culture , quitters on the roster and lack talent but the issues are much bigger than that. It’s much deeper. There’s toxicity every where and the on field product shows. Chemistry on a staff is just as important as chemistry with a locker room.
And there it is, Mario is over his head. The lack of any substance in the athletic department did not help, and Rad need to do his job now that he is here. I hoped that Mario could get strong coordinators and get out of their way and still do, but that does not discount we have other distractions trying to force their will. Mario needs to be the CEO, Rad the AD and we need to remove anyone that can weigh in on their authority.

I will agree on the talent, though we are said to have one of the highest blue chip ratios. The culture is on Mario, quitters is in Mario, and on field product is on Mario. Almost the same team, though sloppy, played for Manny, but not Mario. I know the injuries have not helped, but those are a concern as well.

We played those teams close. App Stateand NC State would blow us away this year. Pitt and Tech don’t look too good either.
I’m losing track here.
I wasn’t comparing this years to last.
I responded to a post that suggested we were close to a 10 win team last year.

This is at the heart of the incompetence of Josh Gattis. Everything he does seems like it comes from that series of books titled, "College Football Play Calling for Dummies."

But from the point of view that he is the writer and everyone else is the dummy…

I missed a lot of camp nuggets from this board as I was recovering from a car accident but I’ve read enough over the last month to see what was being said happened right before our eyes on national television last night

A car accident then watching several train wrecks in a year could be traumatic….

Hope you are well on the mend from the car accident.

This is the truth. He missed on a lot of coaches before he ended up with the current staff.

Clearly the case. Glad we are all able to talk about it now. Back then it was not trusting Mario and he always got who he wanted…

Saban was .500 pretty much every year except his last at MSU. 4 years of .500 ball
This isn't MSU and this isn't 1995. Let that sink in it's 2022. Continue to make excuses though..have you watched this season. This team is awful 👀, major penalties, no accountability, coaches don't even like each other. I like what Sean McVay said yesterday after the loss against the Bucs.

As coaches we're responsible for identifying the problems and trying to provide solutions, and then the player's job to be able to go execute and be able to get it done," McVay said. "I have to be able to do my part first and foremost for them to be able to do theirs. And that's where you always look at. You want to look inward first."

in this case, OC and WR are the same guy. theyre obviously both gone. QB is gonna be gone too unless the QB becomes the OC. I agree on the OL but as long as Mario is here im not gonna worry about the OL.

Miami couldn’t even score against Virginia. What makes you think they’ll score against Ga Tech, Pitt, and Clemson?

Firing , “mutual parting” or taking another job. Either way Gattis won’t be here next year. I laid my nuts on the line with Manny and Blake last year months In advance and I’m doing it again now.
Any ideas on what direction we go with the next OC? Everyone seems to be thinking Ponce.

From jump knew Gattis was a fraud. Look his first meeting with the team. Dude never wanted to be here. He only here cuz he backdoor Harbaugh and think he was going to be name head coach. When Harbough came back he had no choice but to leave. We need a spread offense OC to utilize that FL speed as its best advantage
