Too many issues to count

My best friend is a Noles fan and like me he’s knows a little more than the average fan schematically, not an expert , so I was asking him about their offense. First thing he said was “ lots of counters from different formations“. Which brings me to Steele. How are we aligning the way we are and getting out of our lanes knowing they run a bunch of counters? They didn’t even have to get creative. As I said on the podcast “
there’ll be a bunch of window dressing by FSU and eye discipline will be huge”. Well they didn’t even go deep in the bag , they took what they wanted smh.
Coach Hayes called it out, said our alignment alone we were ****ed.. Said 10 milli staff couldnt even line up against 10 dollar plays.. Simple stuff that we should have been prepared for..

FSU actually left a ton of points on field also when we went with Flagg as edge player to set the edge (LMAOOO) and Tecory couch as LB in box against Double TE jumbo offense, FSU should of never did anything but run it down our throat and skull fuuck us down the field, they were getting like 15 yards a pop.. I still cant get over that.. I never will, that and 6'6 320 NT covering RB on wheel route is a whole new frontier

A few weeks ago I posted that the staff - in the middle of the season (bye week) - was trying to incorporate some of last years schemes and concepts that work.

TVD comes out, looks like TVD, and there's some small progress there (496yds VS UNC). TVD throws for another 351yds the next week against VagTech and wins against a very bad team.

TVD gets hurt.

Condensed formations return.

ZERO touchdowns drives Duke (6 drives), UVA (13 drives), and FSU (11 drives).

You have no clue how stubborn Mario Cristobal is with this offense. If you needed more proof, please let me know and I'll be glad to provide.

A lot of us did. Us fans have our own L’s to hold lol.
I took an L too but others with more football knowledge than I and closer to program did as well.

In September, I didn’t rush to judgement and recognized the lack of talent and execution; however, once we started losing to the Connecticut States of the world and getting whooped by Duke, I realized this is deeper than the kids.

How is it stubborn if he made the change then tvd got hurt? Just my opinion it shows he’s willing to say hey our **** not working let’s help him out.

I argued this team was very flawed , lacked depth / talent and couldn’t have injuries. But I didn’t see this coming.

Mario ain’t firing anyone. I have my doubts he gets it right he couldn’t do it at Oregon either. Greta recruiter but that’s it. We need rad or someone else to step in and guide him in new staff hires. Let’s see if it gets done.
Firing , “mutual parting” or taking another job. Either way Gattis won’t be here next year. I laid my nuts on the line with Manny and Blake last year months In advance and I’m doing it again now.

Weirdo Brian Kelley just beast Saban in year one. Good coaches show their worth on the field. LSU has better talent and got a portal QB but you get what I’m saying. Elite coach verse Mario the recruiter and you see how the seasons shake out. Miami is severely injured and lacks talent but getting the doors blown off by a shirt fsu team is inexcusable. It’s year one so I’ll give him some slack but he better make some big buy moves in recruiting and his staff for year 2

This post screams gattis gone. Mario should fire him now . We all know how long he likes to take to hire folks. And the hire needs to be before ESD
Gattis won’t be fired , hopefully someone takes a gamble on him for a head coaching job somewhere

TrumpyCane doesn’t think Mario will have trouble firing people, the one thing that resonated during the off season is when he said that recruits should be playing and committing to the head coach because the average position coach won’t ever be there for a players while college career

I just think it has to be done. I don’t think gattis is a bad coach but it’s clear the type of offense that’s wining college games outside of Michigan. Mario needs to realize that plus the athletes he can recruit here and go get a go that runs an up tempo spread offense. Not sure why we keep having stubborn head coaches who don’t realize what modern offenses are
