No more chips on their shoulders. But they do have their thumbs on the ‘post’ button!
 
Those teams seemed to operate with a mindset that they were a family - under attack from outsiders. Everyone had everyone else's back. To a great degree it's a product of its time that's almost impossible to recreate in today's world/culture, at least in the US. Clemson probably comes closest in that team unity us-against-the-world thing, but it's not the same attitude as the 80s Canes. They couldn't do that if they wanted to. Refs, NCAA, media would put a stop to it immediately.
