If A&M can pay him 8 Mil a year, how much is left over for high octane assistants?

If he’s going to A&M, he’ll be in the same division as Satan.

Not completely buying the story because of the salary package. Come back to me when you get the breakdown for the AC’s.

Could someone explain to me why Texas A&M would fire a coach after a 7 win season to hire a 6 win coach?

Why do people think TAMU is going to get a big name coach?

Nobody is leaving a national title-type program to go to TAMU. They will get a coordinator or a group of 5 guy and they will be worse than they are now in a few years.

The fact that TAMU wants Jimbo is a very poorly kept secret. Whether he leaves FSU is a completely different matter.

Texas A&M would have to pay him $10M a year, plus pay the cost of him leaving FSU plus the $10M they have to buyout Sumlin with.

Jimbo costing them nearly $30M in year one.

Good luck with that.

While I think that last sentence is the likely outcome, they have done exactly that before when they hired Dennis Franchione away from Alabama. Of course that ended up being a disaster for them.

Wasn’t Alabama about to get hit with serious NCAA sanctions though?

Ha, thinking about it now, Franchione was like Al Golden.
