Toney TD…should be have fallen down on the 1?

I find it hard to believe this is a serious question. Absolutely, unequivocally, **** to the no.

No chance, you score that TD and let the defense do its thing. They played lights out all game.

The way FGs were going no way I’d feel confident in kicking a last second FG vs chance of overtime.

I legit thought about that too …but would you rather put the game in the hands of the kicker that’s missed 3 fgs in the game vs Relying on our defense to get a stop

Now that we won…can we just rewind to that TD. TAMU were out of TOs, should someone have told MT that if he gets the first yard to just go down in bounds around the 1? Three kneel downs and a chip shot FG.

For the record, I think what he did was fine, D was dominating and no one thought they’d be able to go 75 yds in about 1:40 to score. Just asking the question.
Y'all trim

In that type of game you take whatever scores you can get. Especially when your kicker already missed three times

So imagine that he sits at the one. You’re assuming that nothing bad could happen in the next couple of plays. Imagine if the field goal gets blocked, and then Texas A&M grabs the ball and run with it for the game winner. It’s better to have the lead and then put all of the pressure on your opponent.

Do you know why notre dame lost to Tamu?
Do you know why that game didn’t go to overtime?
Because notre dame botched an extra point.
Too many things that can go wrong on a routine field goal or extra point.
You could literally say that a kicking/ST fck up is the reason we played TAMU because it would be Notre dame with only one loss and Tamu with 2.

Take for example:

Yes.
From a football perspective, it would have been the better call. You don't have that last drive.
