Toney (a positive thread)

Love watching this kid play, not often a true freshman becomes the AB’s best friend, feel like he’s a more explosive X, but the fact that he’s plying this already is crazy.

See this is what I used to believe because it’s what I was told. Don’t watch a lot of high school film and don’t live in FL to go to the games, so I relied on the consensus around here.

But after five games, I have to say the physical skills absolutely jump off. And every single game, at that.

Now, stature wise, I would agree. But that just makes it even crazier. I had no idea he could pull away from guys like he is doing. And he’ll juke you out of your Jordans.

Somebody compared him to Duke Johnson, and I think that’s totally appropriate. I’ve seen enough. He’s a big play and touchdown waiting to happen. Can take it to the house on any given play.

In other words, if we had the old grassy alien emoji, that’s how I would refer to him from now on. I’ll settle for 👽.
Malachi is a legend in the making, but the old Grassy 👽 or any iteration of it is Hester's. Has been since before he ever suited up in orange and green.

He's one of the most sneaky fast players I've seen in a while. Doesn't look like he's moving very quickly but he's gaining ground on everyone.

That TD called back was criminal. He had no business taking that to the house considering the angles of all the defenders. Very excited to see what he can become.

whoever coached him in high school deserves accolades. he does every little thing right, from routes, to blocking, to twisting/turning when being tackled in order to fall forward, to avoiding big hits. he is mastering every single bit of his game
