@Confidence1000 his dad is the principal at Southridge and “played college football” according to some folks in his thread. Nowhere did I see his dad played football at Miami. Not sure where the legacy applies.

@CANESCANES you don’t like Miret as a prospect. Got it. Do yourself a favor and stop right there. Using camp clips with no equipment, no help and no game simulation to try to prove you’re right that “he’s a project” actually works the other way for the reasons I just mentioned. He was first team all state as a junior. That’s based on an entire season (and his only season) of playing center. It’s also the collective opinion of several folks who watch a whole lot more high school football than you.

Pops played hoop at UTEP and spent some years hooping overseas. His brother is going to be an incoming freshman at Cal, but I do not think they will be a factor for him at all. Originally from Sac and attended Sheldon(hoop powerhouse), got recruited to Riordan, so that bag is gonna have to be right to be a serious contender

I watched his tape and that’s where I drew my opinion. I’ve talked to people that saw him play live numerous times and had the same take away, I’m not doing any favors by stopping a **** thing. And yeah Miami is a 1000% hit rate on prospects people can’t have opnions? GTFOH, it’s all subjective when identifying prospects and having opinions, I don’t take back seats to anyone, I have my OWN eyes and OWN brain

And thanks for setting the weirdo telling bull**** lies straight talking about a “legacy”

If Miret wants to commit u gotta believe that they will accept his pledge

I think what people have to realize that to sign the top kid every year is not feasible or sustainable. Yes, some positions it may be the case, like OL because of the 5 positions. But you have to sign these types of kids that need time to develop so you can layer them in with immediate impact. We’ve learned not all top kids turn out to be good anyways. O think it’s smart because they will be less likely to transfer out after a year.

Rather than taking what I said completely personally, why not try it from the angle of "can I learn somethng from this?" I didn't criticize your opinion. You are entitled to your opinion. However, when you bark HE'S A PROJECT over and over and over again at everyone who says anything other than HE'S A PROJECT, you come off as childish and it dilutes your opinion. That's why I wrote that.

In the example of my comments, I fairly noted that pulling much from those camp clips is not really being just to the player. I also mentioned that Miret was first team all state as voted by a bunch of guys who watch more high school football than you. If you took that as a swipe at you, it wasn't. Unless you're pounding the pavement and hitting multiple HS games each weekend, I don't see how you could really take offense to that statement. However you came back with the 1000% hit rate comment that is far more of a reflection on you than it is me. One more thing, you are right that he is a project. Almost all OL are projects coming into college.

Lastly, I didn't post to necessarily set anyone straight. I saw two guys arguing in different directions on a thread about a different player and I commented with facts.

I wasn't trying to play hall monitor. I genuinely didn't know if he was or was not a legacy. Wise and Pickett are both legacies.

The other dude just likes to make a lot of noise and argue.

No, I don’t like to argue at all, the weirdo was saying bull**** lies, telling me he was a “legacy” and for me to do my homework on it? Instead of just answering how he’s an actual “legacy”
