Tommy Moffitt out at LSU

Okay guys, tell me - in S&C terms - what exactly you think Moffitt does "better than anybody else." I'm not being snarky, I genuinely want to understand why you think he's so amazing.

There was a good thread a few days back from a poster who was obviously educated on the topic talking about how “innovation” in S&C is a huge red flag. It’s not rocket science, it’s discipline and motivation. Moffitt instills that. His track record speaks for itself.
 
Like Mario would fire Feld, who I've been saying aint **** compared to Lane's S&C. Until tonight Feld was held in much higher esteem than he should have.

We know Lane brings Bama's S&C. With Moffitt he might bring LSU's S&C might not. There's no assurances unless it's Lane's S&C.

I haven’t spent the time memorizing who made what thread...

But interesting, can I ask what you don’t like about him then? I will admit you probably know much more than me on the topic lol

He the best point blank. There is a reason why every top team try’s to grab an assistant off of him.

This is the thread I made a few days ago. I'm just chuckling because I'm pretty sure you were referencing me.

I don't hate him. Like I said, he's good, was very innovative back when no one knew what was going on with S&C, but people WORSHIP this guy like he's the 2nd coming.

For some reason, S&C coaches get all the praise when teams when championships, and all the blame when teams suck.

No, tell me why. Tell me what you KNOW about him that makes him a better S&C coach. I'm betting good money that no one on this board knows anything about his programs, only that he was part of LSU teams that won championships. By that logic, Scott Cochran is better.

Who do you think is realistic that you’d like to see brought in? And what’s your opinion or Oregon’s current S&C? Apologize if alresdy referenced in that thread

But no, Moffitt isn't anything special. I mean he's not bad. But seriously, people who don't follow S&C think these old dinosaurs are the reason teams are successful and it's not true lol.

Moffit would be a home run for Miami

I'm not even sure that I have a better recommendation. I just know the old names that keep getting regurgitated around here. It's no different than wanting Steve Spurrier or Lou Holtz as HC since "his record speaks for itself."

The S&C from FAU was mentioned in that thread and he looks like he has a solid background, I'd give that a thumbs up.
