Tom Herman to interview at South Carolina next week

If you all are going to claim that Herman is the next great coach, then it doesn't matter where he coaches at he should be able to turn that school into a winning program. That doesn't mean that they will win a title but in today's college football you can win anywhere if you're good. Examples are....Mike Belotti and Chip Kelly at Oregon....Urban Myer and Kyle Whittinghm at Utah...Nick Saban and Mike Dantonio at Michgan St.....Gary Pinkel at Missouri... Kirk Ferentz at Iowa.....Mike Gundy at Oklahoma St....Gary Patterson at TCU....Art Briles at Baylor....Charlie Strong and Bobby Petrino at Louisville....Nick Saban and Les Miles at LSU

None of the schools above are great jobs, nor do they have any history of winning but those coaches were able to make them relevant in college football. If Herman is what you think he is than he should be able to pickup where Spurrier left off and build a monster in the SEC east, his only competition is Florida and Georgia, neither of which are juggernauts.

LSU is a great job, Louisiana has freaks year in and year out.

You obviously don't know LSU history, they were a non existent program that never won anything until the arrival of Nick Saban and he past the torch to Les Miles. There is no difference between SC and LSU other than the fact that LSU was made relevant by the past two coaches.. I've been to both schools multiple times, facilities, game day experience, resources are all equal.

How were able to get a look at those teams facilities? Did you get a guided tour of what these schools offer to their athletes and more importantly, football team? Most teams dont roll out guided tours to people showing up for football games.

in state talent is not equal though not even close, louisiana produces a ton of nfl players especially defensive linemen with the right coach that school should be a contender every year
