Tom Herman to interview at South Carolina next week

Agreed. I give the homegrown talent edge to Louisiana, and there are no other peer competition schools to recruit against in Bayou country.

You obviously don't know LSU history, they were a non existent program that never won anything until the arrival of Nick Saban and he past the torch to Les Miles. There is no difference between SC and LSU other than the fact that LSU was made relevant by the past two coaches.. I've been to both schools multiple times, facilities, game day experience, resources are all equal.

LSU is a far superior program.
The state of Louisiana produces more elite prep talent than South Carolina and, unlike USCarolina, LSU
is the only major state school with neighboring Texas next door.
USCarolina has to contend with too many nearby schools such as Clemson, UGA, Tennessee and even UNC.

True, LSU was a pedestrian program before Saban took over.
But that's because they had clowns coaching that program.
But the potential was always there.
One can't really say the same about the GameCacks.

That's a fair point, but it is about market value.
If you're rated high in the coaching market, then you can afford to be more selective than your peers.
And if you have that luxury, you look for the most gifted program.
Sort of like baseball....wouldn't you rather start off an inning with a teammate already on third base?

Are you serious, LSU has to contend with Texas, TCU, Baylor,Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Miss St, Alabama, and Auburn for recruits...
USC is not at a disadvantage, Spurrier has proven that already as he was able to pull in very good talent from Florida, Georgia Tennessee, Both Carolinas, and Virginia. USC is a diamond in the rough the same way LSU was before Saban got them over the hump.. And the talent coming out of Louisiana isn't all that great.. five kids a year at best turn out to be pro caliber and most of them leave the state to play at Alabama or another school not named LSU
 
Furthermore, most of you are biased because of LSU's recent success, If your only criteria is a recent history of winning to determine whether it is a good job or not, then you can't say Miami is a good job either.. Having access to a larger group of talented players doesn't necessarily equate to it being a better job... If that was the case both FIU and UCF would be better jobs than Miami because they have the same talent base, better facilities and resources than we do at this point. Only difference is division they play in so if both of them step up and join a power five conference, where would that leave UM in the grand scheme of things??

Jalen Rose asked him, "whats going on with my U playmaker" and he threw out a few coaches name and Irvin started shaking his head up and down about Chip and claimed we need to get back to that style of football. Didn't really get to excited when he asked about Butch.

Offensive coordinator of the Cincy Bengals. He has their offense rolling & he coaches with swag like Herman. He probably coached himself into a NFL HC spot.

I'll be shocked if Chip Kelly picks Miami over LSU, USC, or Tennessee Titans.
