If you all are going to claim that Herman is the next great coach, then it doesn't matter where he coaches at he should be able to turn that school into a winning program. That doesn't mean that they will win a title but in today's college football you can win anywhere if you're good. Examples are....Mike Belotti and Chip Kelly at Oregon....Urban Myer and Kyle Whittinghm at Utah...Nick Saban and Mike Dantonio at Michgan St.....Gary Pinkel at Missouri... Kirk Ferentz at Iowa.....Mike Gundy at Oklahoma St....Gary Patterson at TCU....Art Briles at Baylor....Charlie Strong and Bobby Petrino at Louisville....Nick Saban and Les Miles at LSU
None of the schools above are great jobs, nor do they have any history of winning but those coaches were able to make them relevant in college football. If Herman is what you think he is than he should be able to pickup where Spurrier left off and build a monster in the SEC east, his only competition is Florida and Georgia, neither of which are juggernauts.
LSU is a great job, Louisiana has freaks year in and year out.
You obviously don't know LSU history, they were a non existent program that never won anything until the arrival of Nick Saban and he past the torch to Les Miles. There is no difference between SC and LSU other than the fact that LSU was made relevant by the past two coaches.. I've been to both schools multiple times, facilities, game day experience, resources are all equal.
Right now, the ppl who we are going after the hardest is
Herman

Are you serious, LSU has to contend with Texas, TCU, Baylor,Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Miss St, Alabama, and Auburn for recruits...If you all are going to claim that Herman is the next great coach, then it doesn't matter where he coaches at he should be able to turn that school into a winning program. LSU is a far superior program.
The state of Louisiana produces more elite prep talent than South Carolina and, unlike USCarolina, LSU
is the only major state school with neighboring Texas next door.
USCarolina has to contend with too many nearby schools such as Clemson, UGA, Tennessee and even UNC.
True, LSU was a pedestrian program before Saban took over.
But that's because they had clowns coaching that program.
But the potential was always there.
One can't really say the same about the GameCacks.

Dude is about to f**k up big time if he takes the South Carolina job.
Why? They're SEC and have a great following. Always sold out games and admin is willing to pull the money. He'll make a run at the SECCG by his second year.
