South Carolina is over here interviewing Herman and we're sitting around with our thumbs up our asses. We can't move forward though, Aikeem Jolla hasn't had his chance to sit down with Korn Ferry yet.

We have people cheering for us to lose out on great coaches b/c they'd rather have a 65 year old who never won a thing in his life. Fan base deserves what it gets for stupidity alone.

and why the **** do you constantly choose to ignore the fact that Butch assembled the greatest team in college football history?

Are their younger options that I prefer? yes, id rather a Chip Kelly or Herman..but, Butch I'm confident we could get Butch for substantially less and afford to pay for a monster staff around him since our basis would be lower...

The Tom Herman to South Carolina buzz doesn't really make sense if you consider the type of guy Herman is and the lack of success South Carolina has had on the NC level of college football. I almost feel he would be better staying at Houston until he gets a better offer. USC east is the type of place where your career could become stagnant. With that said I could be totally off base but I believe Herman is more of a savage than that.
 
If Herman is any good like a lot of you hype him up to be, he should have no problem winning there. The resources at SC are top notch and there is no shortage of cashflow, ppl making excuses for him already.

@ClowESPN: South Carolina has major interest in Tom Herman, but after checking with some close to the situation, I'd be surprised if he ends up there.

He'll definitely do well but it doesn't fit his personality. He'd rather go to a place where he has a legit chance at winning a title. South Carolina has a grand total of 0 SEC championships. Not saying it can't be done but it's an uphill battle.
 
The USCe rumors with Herman seemed a bit too rushed for me. Now there's a whole bunch of back tracking. My guess? Herman expressed interest in the gig after USCe expressed interest in him. He probably told him he'd like to visit and from there, that snowballed into "contract comin'!!!"
 
I think herman stays one more year unless they tbrow the bank at him and thats super risky. If u throw the bank and he fails u cripple ur program, i like him after butch and patterson whos growing on me. But butch all day
