Tom Brady to Tampa?

Saints have been winning with defense for years now. Brees is a dink and dunk game manager at this point but they have an excellent scheme and defense.

Ironically you mention Rivers when he and Winston have had the same problem recently. Both are volume passers who keep missing the playoffs because they lose a ton of close games with kicking game fails and the like. If the Bucs had a dominant run game led by LDT and had a reliable kicker they'd be in the playoffs every year easily.

Rivers is old and washed. Rivers in his prime had no problem making the playoffs. And no, the Bucs are a mess, they would not be routinely in the playoffs.

Also, the Saints had an average defense last year while they were winning on offense.

New Orleans was 11th in DEF DVOA and 3rd in ST DVOA. They're a well-balanced team that plays complementary football and doesn't beat themselves. They scheme offense effectively to drive the length of the field. ****** defenses like the Bucs play zone or don't double Michael Thomas in the slot and they get burned. Any QB could thrive in that offense...even Taysom Hill.

No he sounds ridiculous for 2 reasons. Just bc the QBs were top picks, doesn’t mean anything bc Brady the goat. He was the 6th rd pick. Then, he says that he’s been declining on the deep passes for the last 3 years, as if, Brady had a different team. He was using the same type of Wrs, then this year no Gronk. Man, Brady with Evans, Godwin, Howard, and perhaps AB.. we’ll go deep in the playoffs.

IF he stays upright...but I think the Bucs make a deep playoff run with Winston anyway and at 26 he can be a long-term answer. This is mostly a young sustainable roster and Licht/Arians wanna throw away the future for a short-term run with Brady. That's a bigger risk than Winston's turnovers imo. If Brady gets injured or just doesn't do enough to win the Super Bowl it's gonna be a return to mediocrity with the likes of Josh Freeman/Bruce Gradkowski/Chris Simms/Brian Griese/Jeff Garcia/Josh McCown/etc. Fans forget how hopeless the franchise was before Winston.

Just adding a couple nuggets to help things along. ;)

Just bustin balls brotha...we will see what happens! Haha I'm a Bucs fan...I want to see them do well. I just don't see it being with Jameis. They've thrown a ton of cash at the offensive side of the ball since drafting Winston to get things right...and he still does what he does.

^ Wait @brock how did Godwin put up those numbers with a ****** throwing him the ball? :stephenahand:

If Bucs are smart, they go after Antonio Brown. Arians likes reclamation projects and putting AB opposite Mike Evans -- fuego.

Breshad Perriman is an excellent 3rd WR and it appears as though his market is dry. Makes sense to bring him back.

Clyde Edwards Helaire is the must get. Brady needs a dynamic receiving back.

We got godwin🤷🏾‍♂️ Who had 1300 plus yards 9 tds last year and played like a top 5 receiver
Man, listen -- I like Godwin. But AB, the psychopath that he is, is a Top 3 WR in the game. He is a game changer. He's worth the (small) risk. That's a sick Receiver unit with Evans, Howard, Godwin, and Brown. You make that happen if you can swing it.
