Tom Brady talks about QB Development in the NFL

Who dislikes Brady?
I used to as a Dolphins fan. Once he left NE I couldn't ignore his greatness. I felt this way about Roger Federer for the longest. Always wanted him to lose but towards the end of his career I couldn't deny how dominant he was.

This is why Miami’s number one recruit is Dawson. Cam ward went from later day to number 1. Beck could be the next one. Dawson clearly can develop kids that are willing to put in the work. Heck Emory looks better this year.
Mario had Herbert at Oregon and turned him into a top 5 pick. Mario builds a team culture for QB's to be successful in. It isn't gimmicky and because it takes time to build the OLINE it doesn't happen over night.

The next OC will come in and have an elite OLine and his system will be successful because the QB will have the time he needs to get through his reads.. Watch and see.

That's not dislike that's called "hating on." Most of us do it at some point

Thanks for the link @Hoyacane1620

Anybody who loves football should watch that video. Could listen all day long to Brady or Manning breaking down the nuances of football.

(Friendly tip: Skip ahead to 1:00 and then you don't have to listen Colin Cowherd's annoying babble)

He once mentioned a couple of years ago why football as a brand, in particular in the NFL, was struggling.

Rule changes for defensive behavior essentially made it too easy for offenses and offenses equally don't take advantage of it because kids aren't being developed in college anymore. QBs don't learn proper technique, game prep and understand of coverages, leverages and space, offensive tackles don't receive proper technique anymore because spread systems allow them to basically freelance a ton etc etc etc

Alex Smiths response was "you played in the easiest division, you have no right to talk about this" and guess where people applauded.

Brady turned out to be right and all that Alex Smith is known for is manage to 1. not win a title with the 49ers who were so loaded that it was a joke and 2. became the goldstandard for average QB play.

Who knew the coach that drafted him and developed had a big hand in his development? Lmao something to remember when the stupid brady/belichick debates happen again
