Todd Stroud has made our Defensive-line worse

Did you watch our DL last year when Willis didn’t play?

Seriously.

Go back and watch that bowl game with no Gerald Willis. Was beyond sub par.

Miami doesn't have the horses on the defensive line that it had a few years back. Period.

CIS hyped him up for no reason besides the fact that he coached Mario Williams and Lawson. He was a washed up coach heading in a downward trajectory from FSU to Akron. Still all I heard about him from CIS experts is that guy was a great coach and he coach Mario, Margo, and Lawson to the NFL. 3 Guys in his 50 year career and you dudes were on his ****.

Me and @Paranos warned you over and over but just like the Purdue coach that Belichick fired after one season, CIS had to hype that guy out. He should be coaching at Mount Union State in couple seasons but he is probably going to still be at Miami.

I was happy with him in tge role he originally came here as...an analysts. I wanted to believe that the reason he was hired as DL coach was the timming of Jess departure. But we shall see if changes are made this offseason.

It was meant for Stroud but I changed it for you
Yes I missed it my apologies. I jumped the gun since I recently read a couple of posts about Manny and assumed that's who you were referring to.

Someone referred to Manny as the Elian Gonzalez of coaching so that's where my mind was. My apologies again.

The DL is taking a step back cuz Diaz learned that we are better off going downhill...looks like he didnt give Baker the memo and we're going back to stunting way too often.

This and we keep throwing our best DL in coverage. Why the **** is Garvin chasing RBs out wide as they go in motion?

It also helps to have a Joe Jackson, Gerald Willis type of player who can make an impact on the line. Which so far this team does not have. Garvin & Patchan both underwhelming so far. Rousseau still young, and Trevon Hill is new so the verdict isn’t out on him yet. Hope Nesta or Hill can elevate this D-line

If he was a great coach he would have been hired as something other than a strength coach

The people taking about talent are not watching the players.

It was Kuls coaching that made McIntosh into the player he was.

Simpson kept it going.

I’ve seen a decline in technique.

Also the personnel choices.

DTs are the most important position in our4-3 defense.. We we're blessed with McIntosh and Willis the past few years. We don't have that game changer 3tech right now and I feel like that's effecting alot of the Defense. That includes our DEs and especially our 2 LBs..
