Whole corching staff needs to go but how overrated is Hartley? Can't coach worth a **** and his so called control over Jacksonville is overblown. This is the worst ST in CFB history.

I think he's decent as a TE's coach but it's been obvious for two years he SUCKS at special teams coaching. Another thing that was blatantly obvious last year but was not corrected.
 
Worst ST’s coach in the last 40 years. Probably of all time. Sick of it.

That's up there with calling a HB pass in a snow storm.
 
Well when Richt had the chance to relieve him from ST responsibilities by hiring a special teams coach he decided to hire a striker coach....because a specialized coach for one situational player is more important than special teams....I guess?
 
We're under staffed, it shouldn't be his responsibility to Coach ST's.

But good God is he awful at it smh.
 
He's a decent TE coach and an elite recruiter. Unfortunately, results being what they are, that recruiter part is about to be phased out. On top of that, he's not a good ST coach (and that's putting it lightly). For all his bluster though for recruiting, he may potentially lose out on Crowley this cycle with no noticeable backup options at RB.

Although, you are right. Richt made a horrid decision in not going after a ST coach who could also recruit, but instead promoted Patke whom only coaches one LB unit (striker).

We’ll see how elite he is moving forward
 
I will never understand not getting a STs dedicated coordinator when the coaches expanded to 10 this offseason

No we needed another LB/secondary coach in patke
