^^^^^ correctFournette ain't overrated, but LSU sure is. The whole conference is falling and it is no secret as to why. They relied on their recruiting. Now that talent around the nation is balancing out, their outdated styles are being exposed. Just look at how none of the teams ever have solid QB play and always struggle against the spread. The SEC is the 1980's football conference and the game is changing and it's no surprise the conference has fallen so hard the last 3 years.
You can't buy prostyle QBs. I've said it for years that it is awfully curious how SEC teams seem unable to recruit guys like Andrew Luck and Brad Kaaya. It's bc Luck and Kaaya already have the house and cars and their parents aren't looking for handouts, so the SEC loses their recruiting edge.
But you will still get the can newtons periodically.
Tex am and mizzou came into sec conf and have been making noise. Those are some of the most avg teams anywhere else
