Today would be a good day to announce an OC

Even if it is a “splash hire”, I don’t think it will get much notice other than on the ESPN bottom line during the game. Not many people watching us, or worried about or coaching staff other than us.
Didn’t the Gameday crew just interview Diaz and then sit around and talk about who it might be and what type of offense would be the right fit ?

Herbstreit is pretty fair in his remarks but .... all of the commentators are tired (rightly so) of the "Miami's Back" storyline, only to have it proven untrue again and again. We can't be "back" until we have an elite QB. That's the gauge I now use.
That’s it. Every one of these top teams is benefiting from elite QB play .

But we atleast need to stop losing to the Virginias and Dukes and win the games we’re supposed to

Doubt seriously it’s announced today. For one, if Scott is definitely in play here, he’s got a game to worry about tonight. He wouldn’t need any distractions or players not focused on the task at hand vs Bama. I strongly feel it will be Wednesday when it’s announced as that would be 2 days after the title game, the game will have already been discussed ad naseum, and it will make a bigger splash especially if as others have stated, the entire staff is in place, ready to go for Thursday’s end to the dead period. That seems too perfect of a situation not to announce it at that time.

jjacks, dead right. When u lose to the Dukes and UVAs, that tells u that we don't even have average QB play, forget about elite.

You guys are silly. They may not spend much time on it but it will def be announced and briefly discussed if a hire was made by UM
Today
If the hire was coaching in the game, then it would be mentioned, if not then prolly wouldn’t be.

Unless the game is a blow out, at which point they’ll talk about anything to kill time.

Prior to the game and at halftime it would be mentioned

If its the Clemson dude they will have to announce it even if they don't want to.
It will be all over social media they're not going to be able to ignore it. Commentators and news anchors stay on twitter during their broadcast.
If they don't I'm sure the network does.

There's only one standard.
