We will need our trenches and our secondary. This may sound cliche but it bears more truth in this game.

Our Dline must make them one dimensional by taking away the run and teeing off on the pass. Our secondary must do a good job covering their receivers. Our Oline must win vs their Dline and establish our run game.

On why Texas A&M couldn’t score on us and lost the game, Mike Elko said that it was because they lost the line of scrimmage battle. He said they couldn’t get the run game going and became one-dimensional. He concluded that you cannot play playoff football without winning the line of scrimmage battle.

The key is Dawson and Beck. Their performance in a&m game was quite poor. Dawson’s gameplan was absolutely atrocious and nothing much needs to be said about Beck, he needs to be better.

The defense made A&M 1 dimensional, had 3 TOs, the offense got the ball twice with great field position, and Dawson & Beck only put up 10pts. OSU overall is more physical than A&M. If the offense can’t take time off the clock and reduce the amount of snaps our defensive players take, the gaps will eventually show themselves. I lived in the moment and was extremely happy with the A&M game, but the more I go back and look the more I tell myself Dawson completely **** the bed.

Dawaon needs to keep the playcalling somewhat simple. Run the ball with down their throats with Fletcher and Brown. This isn’t the game where you want to use a lot of Pringle. Get quick passes to Toney, Marion and Daniels. Don’t over complicate this
